Intent 

Geography will be child centred with children being inspired and curious to find out more about the wider world and their place in it. Children will be able to use their eyes to observe geography and talk about it. Geography will be active and fun where children will develop and build fieldwork skills.  Children will learn geographical vocabulary which they will be able to use to make sense of what they observe. When comparing human and physical aspects of Geography children will have opportunities to compare and contrast them whilst reasoning about peoples’ interconnections and impact upon the world. In Geography, children will work together to create and use a range of maps to identify and locate places around the world.
